English Lamp Posts in a French Garden

Here's proof that traditional-style lamp posts look fantastic in French, as well as UK, gardens.

Over in Perigord Noir, Dordogne, Andrew chose copper Victorian garden lamp posts to compliment his idyllic period gite.

Garden Colour Scheme

Andrew customised his lamp posts to perfectly match other elements of his garden:

"I had the lampposts zinc duplex coated and painted in the RAL colours I chose for our metal gates."

Installing the Lamp Posts

When it came to erecting his lamp posts, Andrew mounted each on a base, creating an even more statuesque appearance:

"The stone pillars and caps were drilled to take the electrics with four slabs below to facilitate mowing."
